Rationale

While the Western Cape hosts many prominent festivals and events each year, each tends to appeal to and attract a rather homogeneous racial and cultural audience.  Consequently, SAUFT plans to organise and stage combined music, arts, sports, cultural performance, and ethnic food events and festivals that have broad and diverse appeal, and break down these cultural and entertainment stereotypes.
