Guest speaker: Mr Ahmed Kathrada - Well known political activist, Rivonia trialist, Robben Island prisoner, cell mate and Parliamentary Counsellor to Nelson Mandela& internationally acclaimed author. He obtained 4 University degrees while in prison and after his release served on the ANC NEC, headed its PR Department and served in Parliament, was former Chairperson of Robben Island Museum and has received 8 awards including “Isithwalandwe”, the highest order bestowed by the ANC and the Presidential Order for Meritorius Service, Class 1, Gold.
